PUCK – gluing and shaping the foam layers Completed cut job Carefully cut apart all pieces of foam with a razor knife Try to cut in along the middle of the area between parts. Throw away all extra pieces of foam so they wont be confused for parts Carefully trim extra material off of parts so they can be lined up. Sand flat any surfaces that will be glued stack your pieces to determine order of assembly to prepare to glue, line up your parts very carefully and make registration marks with a sharpie.. FOR SMALL PARTS: apply hot glue and press parts together for 30 seconds. Be sure to line up your registration marks. Wait 2 minutes before putting any stress on the joint so that the glue can cool down. FOR LARGE PARTS: Large parts will need to be glued with the spray adhesive and put under weight for approximately 12 hrs. After gluing manual shaping will be necessary where the Shopbot was unable to carve undercuts.
