Interests:

• Sports – I play club lacrosse and volleyball

I am taking this class because I am very interested in interior design and am familiar with the physical/visual aspects of it, but not the more technical side, like CAD and other computer design software, so I would like to become more familiar with that. I am also excited to use the 3D printer to make models.

Why are you taking this class? What are you most excited to learn about? I love exploring the intersection between technology and the arts, so I enjoy the digital arts, graphic design, and 3D modeling. This is my first sculpture class, but I have worked with 3D printers and laser cutters in an engineering context, so I am excited to use these technologies to learn new techniques within an artistic context.

Interests/hobbies: Hiking/camping, running, reading, writing, guitar, working on my collections… and (obviously) creating art (mostly sculpture and painting)

Intention in taking this class: I love physical sculpture but I’m quite unfamiliar with digital art in general – I simply want to learn more and broaden my sculpture portfolio!

I’m taking this class because I love design and art. Within civil engineering, I’m interested in structural engineering, so I would love to incorporate some aspects of digital sculpture into designing infrastructure. I’m excited to learn more about 3D printing as well!

I like to play squash, I like to fish and ski, and I also am interested in sculpture. I also like to hang out with friends on the water and boat.

I am taking this class because I took sculpture 1 last semester and loved it and want to learn how to create sculptures digitally.

Major: Film / Media Studies

I am on the executive board for Japan society. I like to attend campus theater screenings when I can. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends (hiking, going to random stores around the area, go out to dinner, etc.) and play video games.

I am taking this class as a major requirement and as a way to figure out what exactly I want to do with film. Prop making / sculpting has always been something on my mind and I have been wanting to try it out.

Hello, my name is Kendall Zinn. I am a Psychology major with a minor in Design. Around campus I am involved in Delta Gamma and have just moved into a house off-campus. I am taking this class to fulfill a requirement for my Design minor, however, I am excited to learn what Digital sculpture entails.

I’m taking this class for the Art & Design major. My interest in sculpture started after taking Sculpture 1, which I enjoyed a lot, and one of my goals as an artist was to learn more about 3D modeling software, so this class worked out perfectly with my interest in the medium.

Why are you taking this class? What are you most excited to learn about?

I would like to build a 3d website and learning how to sculpt and rig things will be very useful. I also have a history with film-making and editing so I can also utilize what I learn from class there as well. One day I would like to make an animated film as well.
